Day 31: Sittin' on the dock of the bay

Next destination: Halong Bay

home for now

Lunch... not great

As is evident in the luxury cruise ships sporting old Chinese junker sails, modernizing Halong Bay while keeping its otherworldly charm is a delicate balancing act. Sometimes, a not so subtle reminder of the 21st century rears its ugly head

Kayaking

Our temporary neighbour, as we anchored down for the night
"Edit this post already Jackie!"
Crab heads filled with a mixture of pork, crab meat, and herbs (I think.. we didn't exactly have a menu so I'm just guessing!)
Deep fried spring rolls

Not sure what kind of soup this was... but it was reminiscent of the crab soup (although not as good!) from Chinese restaurants back home

Stir fried seafood with veggies
