Day 21 Part 2:Yu ride mota biee?

With plans to hit Cua Dai beach (5 km from old town), we rented a motor bike for the day. We never did end up going today, but we did get to go on some great cruises. $5 for the day was $5 well spent. We do end up renting a motorbike for all 3 days we're in Hoi An, but that's a story for another day.

With large sectors of Old Town closing to motorized vehicles for various random times throughout the day, if you spend too much time in a store, you might find that you'll need to push your bike down the street.

Kick, push, kick, push, kick, push, kick, push, coast.

What a work out, it's time for lunch!

Mermaid Restaurant (recommended by Lonely Planet for their great local specialties)
Spring rolls and White Rose (yeah.. again. I love the chewiness of the rice paper! So good...)
Banh xeo: crispy savory pancakes served with rice paper and herbs. Greasy goodness wrapped in rice paper!

Chicken fried rice... yummy. Whenever we had chicken back at the peace house, more often than not it was dry... And the herbs and lime were a nice touch!

  3. It's yummy. It's kind of like shrimp dumplings at dim sum... but the outside is chewier. And the inside has a lot less shrimp..
