Day 21 Part 3: Down on the boardwalk

Hoi An, famous for its lantern lit streets, is an amazing place to stroll about in the evening. Commence stroll:

We came about some kind of festive game show that featured singing, and the passing out of flags. We had no idea what in the Sam Hill was going on, but it was entertaining nonetheless.

During the show, this guy kept sneezing on Jackie. Here is what an evil eye looks like

And now it's time to eat again!

Restaurant Cafe 96. I really liked the decor in this restaurant. Has the falling apart look, except it's probably actually falling apart.

Marks on the wall by the picture frame showing flood levels in 2009
This plant had dew budding on it's tips. Look at that guttation action!

Hoi An style won ton soup. Soup was very flavorful, and tasted like the Chinese beef brisket dish with vegetables. An interesting take.
White rose again? Jackie really likes this stuff! Cao Lau in the front. Jackie was giving it another shot since she did not like it in the morning, but again she was not impressed.
Walking along the boardwalk, we found an amazing looking French bakery. Look at all those cakes!

Well these shelves were kinda empty, but its about quality, not quantity
5 minutes later, still undecided
Passion cheese cake
Chocolate mousse cake

I am a chocolate fiend.

  2. Those lanterns are beautiful!
Sorry about the sneezing, next time just shout "pineapple" when he's about to sneeze. It will stop him dead in his tracks.
